Atlas Plan
For the ordinary cleaning of Atlas Plan slabs, it is advisable to remove the dust with a dry and clean cloth. Afterwards, we recommend using the product FILABRIO - FLOOR CLENER. We suggest using the doses recommended by the manufacturer and a microfiber cloth. In any case, to avoid extraordinary cleaning, it is advisable to immediately remove any stain before it dries.
Any detergents usually used for polished surfaces may be used. Coloured liquids that come into contact with the surface should be cleaned immediately, when the stain is still fresh.
The agglomerate material of quartz does not absorb liquid substances and the dirt that might be retained by the micro-knurling does not penetrate the material and can therefore always be removed. In the case of more persistent dirt, acid-based aggressive detergents may also be used. Avoid cleaning the surface with denatured alcohol which leaves streaks that are difficult to remove when it dries.
Atlas Plan is not responsible in any way for the improper use of the material, which is why it recommends:• Prevent collisions with the most exposed points like corners and edges, both with and without a miter.
• Avoid using metal or abrasive pads.
• Do not use knives with a ceramic blade because the hardness of the two materials is very similar.
• For dark colors and/or Polished Lux surfaces use wood or plastic cutting boards for cutting food.
• Precautionary protect the surface from the direct contact with hot objects (such as frying pans, pots, coffeepots, etc) by using trivets.
Note: To repair shallow surface scratches of both the Silk and Polished Lux finishes, contact AtlasPlan directly. It is understood that Atlas Plan cannot be held responsible for events, damage or defects due to negligent cleaning and maintenance.
Quartzforms products are highly compacted and non-porous surface, thus requiring no special treatment. Quartzforms products do not absorb liquids, smells or food fats. Since they are not porous, they do not allow the proliferation of bacteria, resist acids, are easy to clean and hygienic.
Quartzforms products are resistant to stains and wear and tear, scores, scratches and light bangs. Although the material is resistant to high temperatures, it should still be protected with potholders to avoid the direct contact of the saucepan or kitchenware surfaces when they have just come off the stove. Indeed, direct contact with overheated objects or flames might result in permanent marks due to the heating of the resin or cracks created by the thermal shock. The counter should never be used as an ironing board. Although resistant to scores and scratches, if its original appearance is to be preserved, the use of chopping boards is always to be advised.
Furthermore, the work tops should never be overloaded with weights exceeding 50 kg (do not stand or sit on the counter) and make sure blunt objects do not fall on it (knives, bottles, saucepans, working tools, etc) which, owing to their shape, may cause cracks that are difficult if not impossible to repair
DAMP CLOTH - WHITE PAD. Apply the detergent to the stain and let it act for the time indicated by the detergent’s manufacturer. Rinse carefully and dry with a cloth.
DAMP ANTI-SCRATCH SCOTCH-BRITE. Apply the detergent to the stain and let it act for the time indicated by the detergent’s manufacturer. Use a white, damp scratch-resistant Scotch-Brite sponge and scrub the area to be cleaned with a circular movement. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a cloth.
Caesarstone
Like any other surface, Caesarstone can be permanently damaged if exposed to strong chemicals and solvents that affect its physical properties. Avoid the use of strong chemicals and solvents or highly abrasive cleaning agents such as oven/grill cleaners and dishwasher polishing agents that have high alkaline/pH levels (pH 8.5 or higher). Products containing oils or powders may leave a residue and should be rinsed off thoroughly. Never clean your Caesarstone surface with products that contain Trichlorethane or Methylene Chloride, such as paint removers or strippers. Should your surface accidentally be exposed to any of these damaging products, rinse immediately with warm water to neutralize the effect.
Caesarstone is more heat resistant, durable and hard-wearing than other stone surfaces, including most granites, marble and limestone. But it does need protection from very high temperatures (above 150°C or 300°F) or sudden extreme temperature changes. Therefore, we suggest that hot pots and pans never be directly placed on the surface. We also recommend a hot pad or trivet be placed under cooking units such as electric frying pans, crock pots or toaster ovens.
Life’s inevitable spills and stains can usually be cleaned up effortlessly with mild detergent or cleaner and water. To remove stuck on materials, gently scrape away the excess with a plastic putty knife or non-scratch pad and then wipe with warm water. Nail varnish or chewing gum stains can be removed with denatured alcohol, rinsing thoroughly afterward. For extra-stubborn stains, a non-scratch Scotch-BriteTM pad is recommended along with a non-abrasive cleaner, which won’t dull the surface shine.
Cimstone
Experience the convenience and comfort of Çimstone surfaces in your daily life. With its ability to maintain its natural gloss and aesthetic look for many years, Çimstone is the perfect choice for those who value both beauty and durability. To keep your Çimstone surface looking its best, routine care and maintenance are essential.
Cleaning your Çimstone surface is quick and easy. Simply use a damp cloth and a small amount of liquid detergent to wipe away any dirt or spills. For tougher stains, a sensitive scouring sponge can be used. It's important to use the right cleaning materials and agents to avoid damaging the surface. Clear water, liquid detergent, spray products, and glass cleaning liquids are all safe to use on Çimstone surfaces.
To clean your countertop, start by wiping it down with a damp cloth soaked in detergent. Rinse the surface with clear water to remove any remaining cleaning agent completely. With these simple cleaning methods, your Çimstone surface will look as beautiful as the day it was installed.
CRL Quartz
Thanks to their non-porous properties, CRL Quartz surfaces are highly resistant to stains. However, do not allow dirt and residue such as stubborn food or gum stains to harden and remain on CRL quartz surfaces for extended period of time. In case they do, scrape away gently using a small blade or putty remover before cleaning with warm water and soap. For stubborn or dried spills, use a nonabrasive cleaning pad combined with a small amount of mild soap or specialized stone cleaner. Recommended stain remover: Bar keeper Friend Power Cream. This can be purchased either online or at most DIY stores.

CRL Quartz can tolerate moderately hot temperature for short period of time. To maintain the natural beauty of the product, do not place hot skillets or roasting pans directly onto the surface but use an insulator or trivet instead.
Avoid exposing CRL Quartz to chemicals and solvents, especially paint removers or furniture strippers containing trichloroethane or methylene chloride. Keep away nail polish remover, bleach or cleansers that contain bleach, bluing, permanent markers or inks. Strong abrasive and highly alkaline (outside of 5-9pH) cleansers are not recommended when cleaning CRL Quartz. Always follow the manufacturers’ dilution instructions and recommendations. If any of the substances listed above come into contact with CRL Quartz, rinse the exposed surface immediately and thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
Dekton
Dekton requires very little maintenance. Simply wipe your Dekton surface by using a non-abrasive sponge with soap and warm water on a regular basis to maintain its beauty and shine for years to come. In addition, any pH balanced general-purpose cleaner may be used. (e.g. Pot and Pan Soap, Dish Soap, Windex®).
For daily cleaning, always use hot water and dry with a clean cloth. Use a microfiber cloth to remove dirt from the surface along with recommended doses of detergent.
Local Application of Detergent. Apply the detergent to the stain and leave it to act for the time given on the packaging. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth.
Cleaning with Detergent and moist anti – scratch sponge. Use a detergent and a damp sponge, making circular movements over the whole surface to be cleaned. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and dry with a clean cloth. For textured surfaces, follow the same procedure using a fine bristle brush instead of the sponge.
Cleaning with Detergent and damp scotch-brite anti scratch sponge. Use a detergent and a damp blue scotch-brite anti scratch sponge, making circular movements over the whole surface to be cleaned. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and dry with a clean cloth.
For Wine, Coffee, Food stains, Fruit juice. Use common alkaline detergents or oxidants such as including Dish soap, Formula 409, Windex, Diluted Bleach and water.
For Wax, Shoe polish, Rubber marks, Dyes, Markers , Inks, Adhesives. The following solvents can be used Lacquer Thinner, Acetone, Rubbing Alcohol , Mineral spirits.
Use Acidic based cleaners including Vinegar and water or other over the counter acidic based cleaners like CLR.
Dekton is extremely resistant to large fluctuations in heat and cold. For safety reasons we always recommend placing a trivet or a hot pad directly between your hot pot/ pan and the Dekton surface. This is simply a safety precaution for customer so they are not burned from heat which may transfer from the hot item to the Dekton countertop surface.
Avoid exposing your Dekton surface to strong chemicals and solvents for an extended period of time. Although Dekton is Stain proof to many household cleaners, it is never advised to leave these cleaners on your Dekton surface for an extended period of time. Always avoid contact of your Dekton surface with Hydrofluoric acid.
Although Dekton is extremely scratch resistant, we always recommend use of a cutting board for 2 reasons. 1- Knives or metal household utensils will leave grey marks when cutting directly on the Dekton surface. These marks are called “metal transfer” and can be removed with cleaners as noted above; however it is a lot easier to simply cut on a cutting board. 2- Dekton can dull your knives and cooking utensils and it is wise to protect the investment that you have in these items.
Granite
Don’t: use generic cleaning products such as bleach, glass cleaners, de-greasers or other common household cleaners. These products that you buy at your local store contain acids, alkalis and other chemicals that will degrade the granite sealer leaving the stone more vulnerable to staining.
Don’t: use vinegar, ammonia, lemon or orange as cleaners. Most common and name-brand household products are not good for cleaning granite countertops.
Don’t: use bathroom, tub & tile or grout cleaners. The powders and even the “soft” creams contain abrasives that will scratch and dull surfaces. Don’t: sit or stand on your countertops. Unlike laminate countertops, granite, marble and quartz countertops are very hard, but not flexible and too much weight in one spot could cause a crack.
Don’t: store liquids or toiletry products directly on your countertop surface. Cooking oils, Hair products, perfumes, colognes, nail products, creams, lotions and potions have a tendency to spill or leak and go overlooked.
Clean surfaces using a sponge or soft cloth. Using a specially formulated natural stone cleaner is recommended to keep your tops in the best condition and protect the sealer, but hot water will do for quick clean-ups. Dish soap won’t permanently damage your granite, but repeated use of soap will cause build-up and dull your countertop’s shine. So, using dish soap for regular granite counter top care is not recommended.
Blot up spills immediately. Acidic substances like wine, coffee, fruit juices, tomato sauce and sodas will not etch granite like they do marble, but they could potentially stain the surface. Cooking oils may also leave a stain if not wiped up.
Use coasters under all glasses, bottles and cans. Using coasters is just a good practice to protect all surfaces. Use trivets and hot pads under pots & pans. It is possible for granite (or any stone or quartz) to suffer “thermal shock” and crack.
Granite is very hard and can take tons of abuse without any significant damage, but it can develop light surface scratches or pitting in high-use areas around the sink and cooktop. Most chips and scratches can be repaired, but it’s best to avoid them by following the granite counter top care tips.
Lapitec
The long lasting beauty of Lapitec is easy to maintain. It is non-absorbant material and does not let dirt penetrate. In addition, it guarantees the highest level of hygiene, making Lapitec easy to clean.
It is very easy to keep your Lapitec surface clean. Nevertheless, should you have a special requirement and are unable to find the solution to a problem, or are not sure which detergents to use then please give us a call.
For daily cleaning, always use hot water and dry with a clean cloth. Use a microfiber cloth to remove dirt from the surface along with recommended doses of detergent.

What not to do. Do not use waxes, oily soaps, sealers or other treatments: they are not required. Moreover some of the commercially treatments contain wax or polish additives that can leave and oily film on the surface after several applications, affecting the cleanliness and appearance.
Avoid using ceramic knives or scouring pads as they could affect the surface. DO not hit the surface with pointed or heavy metal objects as they could chip or break the surface.
Marble
Marble is porous and absorbent and requires caution and protection from liquids. Avoid spilling chemicals and corrosive substances on the surface.
We recommend all spillages and stains are removed immediately with a microfiber cloth, water and washing liquid in order to prevent dirt from drying or absorbing into the stone.
With stubborn stains, we recommend the use of special marble scouring preparations. We recommend that after using the preparation, the worktops are washed again with water and detergent.
Aggressive acid-based detergents such as Viakal, Aiax bagno, Cif, etc. may also be used. Thanks to the outstanding compactness of the material, the rough side of kitchen sponges may also be used. Avoid cleaning the surfaces with denatured alcohol which might leave streaks that are difficult to remove when it dries.
Neolith
Neolith is an easy-to-clean material as it does not absorb residue or food remains, thereby guaranteeing good hygiene. It is also resistant to most chemical agents used in cleaning* although a damp cloth is sufficient in most cases for cleaning it.
Quartzforms
Quartzforms products are highly compacted and non-porous surface, thus requiring no special treatment. Quartzforms products do not absorb liquids, smells or food fats. Since they are not porous, they do not allow the proliferation of bacteria, resist acids, are easy to clean and hygienic.

Unsuitable products Avoid cleaning the surface with products containing bleach or those with a high basic ph which, if applied extensively, might create whitish streaks. Other products that might harm the surface are tricotilene, industrial solvents, hydrofluoric acid, caustic soda, and varnish solvents.
Any detergents usually used for polished surfaces may be used. Coloured liquids that come into contact with the surface should be cleaned immediately, when the stain is still fresh.

Silestone
Due to their low porosity, Silestone® and ECOLine Colour Series surfaces are highly resistantto household stains. Cosentino recommends youuse Q-Action* to clean its Silestone® and ECOLine Colour Series surfaces. If you don’t havethis product, the best option is to use water andneutral soap. You should then finish off by rinsingthe surface with plenty of water and drying it withkitchen paper or a clean cotton dishtowel.
For daily cleaning, always use hot water and dry with a clean cloth. Use a microfiber cloth to remove dirt from the surface along with recommended doses of detergent.

Use cleaning vinegar and a damp sponge. If the stain persists, you can use a limescale remover that has been diluted with water. Never leave it on for more than 2 minutes. Repeat the process if necessary. Rinse with plenty of water and dry with paper.
We recommend you remove the stains as soon as they appear. To do so, use a knife held horizontally and CleanColorsil, and scrub with a sponge. If you don’t have any CleanColorsil, you can use a well known brand of silicone remover. Afterwards, rinse with plenty of water and dry.
During the fabrication (miter cutting, laminating, general cleaning of pieces) and the counter top installation (joints, splash backs, etc.) where glues, adhesives and silicones are used, we recommend to clean after wards (maximum 30 minutes after gluing). To do so, use clean cotton cloths or paper. Use Clean Colorsil (Cosentino’s complementary product) as a silicone and adhesive cleaner; Isopropyl Alcohol or Isopropanol(cleaning alcohol) or ethanol may be used instead.
For difficult stains, pour some Q-Action (or a similar product) onto the affected area and leave for 2minutes. Next, scrub with a gentle scouring pad (for glass-top cookers, blue type: no scratch), rinse with plenty of water and dry. If the stain persists, contact the fabricator or studio who supplied you with your Silestone materials.
